FDS SAS Dentist Award 2025

The Faculty of Dental Surgery (FDS) have established an award worth £400 to recognise the initiative, contribution and hard work of SAS dentists (specialty, specialist, associate specialist, staff grade and clinical assistant) within the dental profession.

Eligibility

Do you know a specialty, associate specialist or specialist (SAS) dentist, or are you a SAS dentist who regularly goes over and above to provide excellent patient care, who contributes to the learning and development of others and who improves patient safety? If so, this is your opportunity to recognise and celebrate the excellent contributions SAS dentists make. We invite you to nominate, or self-nominate an SAS dentist who you think is deserving of this award.

Applications

To apply for our SAS Dentist Award or to nominate someone, please complete this form in which you will need to write up to 300 words to describe how you/they contribute to clinical work, medical education, leadership and management, research and/or innovation. Applications must be received by Friday 30 May 2025.

A panel will review the applications and announce the winner at the SAS Dentist Portfolio Careers Conference on Friday 11 July 2025 or at the next Diplomate ceremonies in November 2025.
